E-commerce sites have been rapidly expanding, and market analysts predict that this trend will continue in the coming years. Given that the future is digital, the present epidemic has acted as a tool for technical innovation and digitalization.
Many store owners, small business owners, homepreneurs, and others are attempting to establish their own internet business for this purpose. Many people are currently asking what the Dukaan App is when using Amazon and other browsers.
The Dukaan App, which launched in May 2020, is a DIY application that allows traders, sellers, and those with no programming experience to set up their own e-commerce store in 30 seconds using a smartphone. Sumit Shah is the owner and CEO of Dukaan.
It enables over 2 million small and medium-sized companies in India to use the internet to launch, develop, sell, and manage their businesses. This submission is attempting to pursue the honourable PM’s Vocal for Local vision. The application enables small companies in India to go digital.
Dukaan was established in 2016 with the aim of bringing the neighbourhood shop into the twenty-first century. The neighbourhood kirana, nadar kadai, angadi, and small shops have been left behind by the advent of the internet marketplace and big retail stores/supermarkets, unable to compete in terms of connectivity and usability.
MyDukaan’s project consists of two parts: a user-friendly interface and a local network of loyal customers and trustworthy shops. The first is to provide Local Stores with the technical resources they need to keep up with the online race, and the second is to provide shoppers with new and daily necessities.

Product Categories and Services for Marketers
Dukaan app allows businesses across 19 groups, including Kirana, grocery, food & beverages, fashion stores, mobile & electronics stores, vegetables and fruits sellers, Restaurant & Hotels, etc., to set up their shops and launch online sales.
In categories such as food, fruits and vegetables and restaurants we have seen an incredible response. Businesses can boost their exposure by sharing customisable ad templates on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Stories.
They will generate discount coupons to increase profits when running promotional and sales activities online. With a QR code powered menu, our Restaurant Dining service allows restaurants and hotels to receive dine-in orders directly from the customer’s table. We’ve also given companies the ability to receive online payments. Currently, more than 17% of orders are paying for online.
Tiger Global in talks to back Dukaan at $300 million valuation
According to these anonymous sources, Dukaan would be priced at about $300 million, representing a roughly fifteenfold increase in valuation from less than six months earlier. It was estimated at about $22 million and raised $6 million led by Lightspeed India and Matrix Partners India.
Tiger Global has showed interest in Startups to back them in India. It almost raised $6 Billion in funds for India. According to the situation, Dukaan has begun monetizing its core sector of backend technologies, though precise numbers could not be determined.
Dukaan intends to monetize its app’s digital marketplace by charging a monthly charge to the shop or by charging for ancillary services such as tax invoice generation.
Dukaan collaborates with Dunzo and Shiprocket
Dunzo, India’s on-demand commerce and distribution site, and Shiprocket, a tech-enabled logistics aggregation platform, have collaborated with Dukaan, a SaaS network for online stores, to incorporate delivery into the app for a smooth retail experience.
Surges in demand for home delivery caused by pandemics reflect a long-term pattern that will become the new standard in a post-pandemic environment. As a result, retailers must brace for the future by removing roadblocks to enable more flexible supply chain operations.
Shiprocket offers a completely integrated end-to-end workflow that includes everything from receiving products to dispatching and monitoring orders, while Dunzo specialises in on-demand shipping, ensuring that consumers receive what they want when they want it.
Dukaan’s 3.5 million retailers can not only simplify their distribution processes but also gain greater management of their market through strategies to manage their sales through stores and customers, thanks to the integration of these technologies into the app.
“Bringing predictability of order service time for a better customer experience is the future of distribution tracking. And we at Dukaan are constantly working to ensure that the retail sector has a smooth future.
Our strategic collaborations with Dunzo and Shiprocket will help our retailers not only optimize distribution but also expand their businesses,” said Suumit Shah, founder and CEO of Dukaan. Consumers are seeking comfort and faster access to goods and services as a result of the pandemic.
“In a constantly evolving retail world, Dunzo and Dukaan have collaborated to enable merchants with improved logistics, quicker deliveries, and increased financial opportunities,” said Kartik Mishra, Dunzo’s head of strategy and new projects. Dukaan is on its verge to increase its user base for the merchants.
