Ruzo Green Energy has unveiled its plans to establish Asia’s most advanced and first AI-integrated Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant leap forward in sustainable energy infrastructure in the region.
The state-of-the-art facility will leverage Dry Plug Flow technology, enabling the efficient processing of high-solids organic waste while keeping operational costs low. The plant’s core feedstock will be cow dung sourced from local cowsheds, creating a circular economy model that benefits both the environment and rural communities.
In a first for Asia, the upcoming biogas unit will integrate artificial intelligence across key operational areas, including feedstock management, real-time process monitoring, predictive maintenance, and quality control. This technological edge is expected to enhance the plant’s efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Ruzo Green Energy has also announced a strategic partnership with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology at IIT-BHU, aimed at advancing research in bioenergy and carbon capture technologies.
The company has further secured a CBG offtake agreement valued at over INR 110 crore with a leading Oil Marketing Company, ensuring long-term market stability for its output.
Demonstrating its commitment to rural development, Ruzo Green Energy has pledged to donate 25% of the revenue from organic fertiliser sales—a byproduct of the CBG process—back to the participating cowsheds. This initiative is designed to support sustainable livestock management and enhance the welfare of rural cattle shelters.
To fuel this ambitious venture, the company recently raised INR 2 crore in its first funding round, positioning itself for a strong market debut.
With this landmark initiative, Ruzo Green Energy is set to redefine the role of green technology in India’s bioenergy landscape.
