From Bootstrapped Beginnings to Industrial Innovation: The Exeliq Tech Solutions Story

Introduction

Exeliq Tech Solutions is an Indian-origin engineering solutions company focused on building advanced test and measurement systems for industrial, energy, and electric vehicle applications. Since 2017, we have been designing and deploying automated testing solutions for PCBAs, batteries, motors, and EV subsystems – helping manufacturers improve reliability, quality assurance, and testing efficiency across R&D and production environments.

Early Days

Exeliq Tech Solutions was founded in 2017 by five engineering graduates, Kumar Ashu, Rahul Gautam, Rishabh Kanojia, Prince Agarwal, and Sharad Gupta, who shared a common vision of transforming traditional test and measurement practices. Bound by friendship and technical curiosity, the founders set out to challenge conventional testing approaches through innovation and engineering-driven problem-solving.

Our first project was unconventional but formative. We executed an automation assignment for Durga Puja celebrations in Kolkata, integrating lighting control and vibration effects to create an immersive experience. While not industrial in nature, the project validated our ability to translate engineering concepts into reliable, real-world execution.

Our first industrial engagement came soon after, with a hydraulic testing company. That assignment marked our formal entry into industrial test systems and set the foundation for our future work. From day one, we chose to remain bootstrapped. This allowed us to grow organically, reinvest in engineering depth, and stay closely aligned with customer requirements rather than short-term milestones.

We have always worked closely with customers. From problem definition and system architecture to installation and commissioning. That hands-on approach has helped us build long-term relationships and credibility in a domain where reliability and precision are non-negotiable.

What We Build

Our test systems are deployed across three core areas:

  • Energy: Testing solutions for power electronics, energy storage systems, and electrical subsystems used in both conventional and renewable energy applications.
  • Electric Vehicles: Test benches for batteries, motors, chargers, and EV subsystems across R&D, validation, and production lines.
  • Industrial Test & Measurement: Automated systems for PCBA testing, end-of-line validation, and functional testing in manufacturing environments.

Marketing Strategy

We position ourselves as a specialized engineering partner rather than a generic solution provider. Our focus is on intelligent, connected test systems that support automation, traceability, and scalable architectures.

Our communication reflects the work we do on the ground, Industry 4.0 ready systems that enable real-time data acquisition, analysis, and integration across plants. For our customers, this translates into higher testing efficiency, better decision-making, and improved product reliability.

User Base & Valuation

To date, Exeliq Tech Solutions has delivered over 350 projects for more than 50 customers across energy, EV, industrial, and R&D domains. Our systems are used by organizations such as ISRO, Luminous, Anand Group, Bucher Hydraulics, and BARC.

These relationships have been built through consistent execution, engineering rigor, and the ability to support mission-critical applications over the long term.

Funding

We are fully bootstrapped.

Revenues (& Losses)

At this point, we are not disclosing financial details publicly.

Awards

Our work has been recognized at industry platforms, including being named Winner in the B2B category at the Startup Grand Challenge during Startup Mahakumbh, Bharat Innovation 2025. We have also received the Startup Excellence Award at Startup Conclave 2021, acknowledging our contribution to industrial technology solutions.

Present Time & Future Goals

Currently, we are executing a strong pipeline of industrial and government-sector projects, working with both private enterprises and public sector organizations. Over the years, we have collaborated closely with National Instruments as an alliance partner and have built technical partnerships with global companies such as Headsprings Japan and AIP.

Looking ahead, we are deepening our work in renewable energy testing, including grid-tied inverter systems. We are already delivering smart automation and AI-enabled testing solutions that are designed for long-term scalability. Over the next five years, our focus is to strengthen our position as a leading engineering-driven test and measurement company across energy, EV, and industrial sectors.

Conclusion

Our journey so far has been defined by disciplined execution, technical depth, and long-term customer trust. We are building Exeliq steadily by solving real problems, investing in engineering talent, and staying close to the needs of the industries we serve.
