Yamini Rangan, an Indian-American, has been chosen CEO of HubSpot
On September 7, 2021, Yamini Rangan will succeed Brian Halligan, as the new CEO of HubSpot. This is a privilege to work with our founders on the next phase of HubSpot, adds Rangan. HubSpot has a lot to be proud of when it comes to its customers and partners.
Since Brian and Dharmesh laid the framework 15 years ago, we are just getting started today! As a result of our collaboration, we can develop a firm that is unlike anything else in the world to help millions of small companies succeed.
HubSpot is a cloud-based CRM that helps sales and marketing teams collaborate, drive sales enablement, boost ROI, and improve inbound marketing tactics to create high-quality leads. So, HubSpot isn’t exclusively for small and medium-sized businesses, as you would think.
Large corporations and businesses may utilize the platform to centralize and automate their marketing. In the words of Lean Labs, “HubSpot isn’t for everyone.” HubSpot’s global headquarters are located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
In contrast, the company’s European headquarters are located in Dublin, Ireland. A satellite office is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. “HubSpot is rapidly expanding throughout the world, and we’re delighted to add an office in Japan to our footprint in Asia Pacific,” said JD Sherman, President & COO of HubSpot.
Two thousand nineteen revenues for HubSpot were $0.675 billion, up 31.56 percent from last year. A 36.57 percent increase from 2017 brought HubSpot’s annual sales to $0.513 billion in 2018. Last year, HubSpot announced plans to open a branch in San Francisco.
As of 2019, HubSpot has completed several acquisitions, including PieSync, a solution for synchronizing customer data. In terms of new releases, The Hustle is the most current. According to sources, the Hustle, according to earlier news reports, was acquired for roughly $27 million.
The company was formed in 2006 and went public in 2014 on the New York Stock Exchange. It has over 100,000 customers and a revenue of $1 billion. Brian worked as a venture capitalist and sales executive at Groove Networks (which was bought by Microsoft) and PTC before founding HubSpot.
Brian was on the board of directors of Fleetmatics Group, a fleet management system supplier, until Verizon Communications bought it in November 2016. The company was created in 2006 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah (MIT).
When compared to 2007, revenue grew from $255,000 to $15.6 million in 2008. Rangan joined the company as chief customer officer in 2020, following a 25-year career in the CRM, ERP, and collaboration sectors with companies such as Dropbox, Workday, and SAP.
According to the organization, she assisted our clients and partners in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak and driving the firm to new heights in the previous year. Rangan was the vice president of sales strategy and operations at Workday for four years.
She is an electronics engineer with a master’s degree in computer engineering and an MBA from California, Berkeley. Rangan was named one of the Most Influential Women in Business in 2019 by the San Francisco Business Times.
Since March 2021, Rangan has been in charge of HubSpot’s day-to-day operations. She is in charge of board meetings, earnings calls, and significant recruiting and growth efforts. Co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah was a major contributor.
The company was established on the belief that people’s buying habits had changed and that businesses needed to adapt by offering useful information and experiences that would lead to long-term customer relationships.
The company originated as a marketing automation tool and an inbound marketing strategy. Still, it has now evolved into a complete CRM platform that helps organizations integrate their marketing, sales, and support teams to create pleasant customer experiences.
The company has a huge solutions partner network and hundreds of Academy courses, in addition to over 600 connections, that reinforce the company’s philosophy: businesses that relate their success to that of their customers are more successful.
To give back, the company donates 100% of its profits to water projects, which it documents with photos and GPS data. Because we believe in inbound marketing, we do the majority of our fundraising online.
