Meet ‘Chai Wala’ Who Dropped Out Of MBA To Sell Tea

Prafull Billore is not a gourmand nor a chef, yet he has built a multi-million dollar business selling chai (tea) throughout India. Doesn’t it sound strange?

In any event, it’s not out of the ordinary for Prafull.

Prafull, who comes from Dhar, a small village in Madhya Pradesh, had lost interest in his MBA programme at Ahmedabad University, which he had started in 2017. Regardless, what kept him convinced was reading books and listening to prominent business pioneers speak.

Five years later, the 25-year-old is a multi-tycoon business genius who has built MBA Chai walla, a Rs 4 crore turnover firm with 50 stores throughout India.

He borrowed Rs 8,000 from his father and opened a stall called ‘Chai Wala’ outside the Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad. He made a profit of Rs 150 on his most memorable day. This English-speaking chaiwala enchanted everyone.

Prafull now owns a 300-square-foot café called ‘MBA Chai Wala,’ where he employs 20 people. He made Rs 3 crore in revenue during the fiscal year 2019-20. “My dream is to sell tea all throughout the country and have every Indian drink my tea,” he adds.

Starting of MBA Chai Wala

Prafull Billlore’s story begins in a small village near Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Like any other Indian adolescent, Prafull recognises his father’s desire to get an MBA from a well-known university.

In 2016, at the age of 21, he used his reserve money to travel and meet new people who provided him with experiences. During this wandering mindfulness journey, the MBA chai wala realised that not everyone is lucky enough to acquire prosperous employment.

Prafull, an MBA chai wala, had lost interest in his MBA programme at Ahmedabad University, which he had started in 2017.

He grabbed a job at McDonald’s for 32 per hour. That was a trying time for him, but working at McDonald’s taught him new skills and introduced him to new people on a regular basis. Along with it, he integrated certain commercial stunts with modesty, politeness, and manners.

It was tough for him to shuffle this way and that, but after an activity time, he recalled that he wanted to start his own café, but the danger was huge, and he was willing to take a chance.

“Where there is a will, there is a way”

Prafull Billore, the MBA chai wala, began selling tea in addition to his job at McDonald’s. He asked his father for a credit. Soon after, he gained popularity and was dubbed (Mr. Billore Ahemdabad) MBA chai walla.

Five years later, the twenty-five-year-old is now a multi-tycoon business genius who created MBA chai walla – a 4 crore revenue firm with 50 locations scattered throughout India.

When he initially started, Prafull Billore, MBA chai wala, his family was furious, and his family members tormented him, yet he was sufficiently smart to expand his firm.

Being an English-speaking individual selling tea piqued the interest of many. He had no knowledge of how to brew tea from the start, but he steadily improved his tea-making talents and rose to the rank of MBA chai wala.

Sky of Success for MBA Chai Wala

While expanding the MBA chai wala company, one thing encouraged another. Prafull Billore used to do a variety of things to attract customers to his cart, but that privilege is now solely his. MBA chai wala began with a cart and has grown to 50 cafes.

This grabbing adventure blew some people’s heads, and there was no doubt that the tea company would succeed because India is a chai-loving country. The masses like chai and the goal of MBA chai wala’s company is to cater to their affluent restaurant inclinations.

Prafull, an MBA chai vendor, rose from a small-time neighbourhood competition to a multi-billionaire. He has started his MBA at Chai Wala Institute. His inspiring narrative won him many followers, and he played an important role in history.

On his social media platform, he acts as a business coach, energetically discussing business and business ventures. He has also delivered a few compelling speeches that have led many people to follow their coarseness.

The MBA chai wala intends to add 100 more locations before the end of 2022. MBA chai wala is an example of someone who goes out of their way to find a means to fulfil their aspirations and objectives.

It’s incredible that someone who couldn’t brew chai now runs a 4 crore chai business and plans to open more locations shortly.

Prafull Billore’s journey began with the desire to fulfil his dream of passing the CAT for his MBA, but today, despite not understanding how to brew tea, he is an accomplished business person.
