What’s the reason behind Grofers changed its name to Blinkit?

Zomato-supported online grocery conveyance firm Grofers has rebranded as Blinkit to focus on speedy commerce or 10-minute grocery conveyance space.

The rebranding comes a long time after the company sent off a drive to convey food quickly or less.

“We gleaned some significant knowledge as Grofers, and every one of our learnings, our group, and our foundation is being reused to turn to something with amazing item market fit – fast commerce. So today, we are flooding ahead as another company, and we have another statement of purpose – “moment commerce undefined from enchantment.” What’s more, we will never again be doing this as Grofers – we will do it as Blinkit,” Albinder Dhindsa, Co-founder and CEO of Grofers, said in an explanation.

Grofers had as of late achieved unicorn status or $1 billion in valuation, after raising more than $120 million from food aggregator Zomato Ltd.

“We want individuals who can think like founders (dislike representatives). Assuming you understand this, and you need to join a company which will trust you and engage you to change the world in a short time,” Dhindsa added.

Grofers has seen a sharp flood in its prominence in the previous year as a few Indian states implemented severe lockdown limitations to contain the spread of the virus.

In the interim, online food conveyance stage Swiggy as of late, said that it will put $700 million in its express grocery conveyance administration Instamart as it hopes to twofold down on non-food conveyance classes.
