YoTribe: A women empowered start-up in the Beauty & Skin care segment

It is said that entrepreneurial leadership is critical to firm’s existence! This is true to the new age start-up, YoTribe Products Private Limited founded by Ankita Kishore in 2022. However young it be, the flamboyance and intent the start-up is built across, it is accelerating in its firm belief. Ankita’s YoTribe is destined to harp upon the proposition that access to Toxic free product is a right for each one. The myth that exists is about the premium associated with quality products must come to a halt.

The start-up offers products, which are proudly made in India. YoTribe hence, aims to create products in the beauty & health care segment that are safe for the environment. These products are superior in quality at an affordable price. Right from the founder to everyone in the enterprise, they are women centric, and women empowered start-up. Each team member is involved in the process from ideation and conceptualization to the actual launch of ideas.

Thus, the big question is who is this women entrepreneur? What kind of qualities does she possess and what was the trigger behind this start-up?

When Ankita was nineteen years old, she proceeded to complete her education, graduating with a masters in merchandising and Business Management. She pursued her corporate journey towards a fulfilling career by working with global retail giants. The engagements were demanding, concurring with adrenaline thrill and wide travelling. The experiential learning provided supplement to her establishing an enterprise of her own, that was about to be seeded.

Despite this corporate gratification making substantial financial benefits, it did not deter Ankita towards lateral thinning. Somewhere down the line, there was an innate desire that needed to be accomplished. She would revisit her thinking at times when she felt low. This introspection kept on hammering her thoughts and at the same time making her revisit her latent dream. She, since her childhood was driven with a desire to engage in things that brought her satisfaction, but with externalities overpowering her at times, this became an impediment to what she wanted.

But as said, enough is enough and hence, she sat down revisiting what she really wanted. The trigger must come in one’s life and it seemed the seed was sowed at this point. She decided to put her expertise to play. Ever since her childhood, her inspiration was drawn from women and thus, she vaguely cemented towards a direction she really wanted.

Being passionate about beauty and lifestyle, she felt this was an area she should pursue. She felt that girls (young women) always desired to caress beauty with a lifestyle, thus, resulting her ideation towards natural skincare. An lo! The Aladdin Chirag had just lit…

To set aside the cosy walls of success and fame was no easy. Starting from scratch a venture was equally challenging and painstaking as a first-time entrepreneur. She revisited her thoughts stating is it difficult? Indeed, it was, she realised. But the gratification levels are 100% she thought, helping her close on the desire. This followed with high levels of anxiety, sleepless nights, feeling week, defeated, and what not. She was the mountain right in front.

She was interjected with a thought of not satisfying and started afresh, with the help of loved once, willpower, patience and lot of determination, recalling anything is possible. She firmed upon with a decision that passion is important and that if she was not happy, how could she make others happy? The trigger exploded and YoTribe organics was born. This YoTribe nomenclature was inspired representing a community, widely travelled, conscious about health and driven by sustainability.
